Eunice Jaqcuette

Eunice M. (Schweikert) Jaquette was born the daughter of Ed and Harriet (Hyde) Schweikert, November 22, 1921, in Osterdock. She passed away Monday, April 17, 2006, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Eunice graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1939 and Bayless Business College, Dubuque, in 1940. She worked at the proving grounds in Savannah ILL, during WWII until her marriage to Dale "Mike" Jaquette on January 22, 1943. Eunice enjoyed listening to big band music and dancing. She also enjoyed golfing, playing cards and entertaining. Her family also enjoyed her homemade baked goods and her soup. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Dale; four children, Mick (Judy) Jaquette of Albert Lea Minnesota, Mark (Deb) Jaquette of Florence, Alabama; two daughters, Mary (Bill) Frommelt of Las Vegas and Marsha (Bob) Silhacek of Delano Minnesota; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Hubert "Tuffy" Schweikert of Guttenberg.
