Evelyn Schuster

Evelyn M. Schuster, 91, of Sonora, California and formerly of Cherokee, Iowa died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Avalon Care Center, Sonora, California. Friends may call from 1 -2:45 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Evelyn was born June 4, 1920, in Cherokee, Iowa the daughter of August and Frieda (Mattsson) Peterson. She married Carlton A. Schuster on November 26, 1949 in Los Angeles, California. Evelyn enjoyed being a housewife, tending sewing classes and embroidering. Survivors include her children: Jeff (Renee) Schuster of Sonora, CA, 3 grandchildren: Tyler, Molly and Carlton "Gus" Schuster, in-laws: Art Kronlage and Kathleen Klaus and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carlton in 1976, 3 sisters and one brother.
