Francis Ahlers

Prete was born June 18, 1914, in New Vienna, IA the son of John and Magdalen (Burlage) Ahlers. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He owned and operated the General Store in New Vienna retiring in the 70s.Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers: Eugene, Elmer, Irvin, Alois and Alfred Ahlers; 7 sisters: Marie Ahlers, Germaine Ungs, Isabelle Donohoe, Verna Kruse, Juliana Ahlers, Esther Ahlers and Edna Ahlers.
