Francis “Fran” Fischer, 80, of, Earlville, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Earlville. Rev. Jeff Dole will officiate. Francis was born September 4, 1935, in Earlville, the son of Leonard and Anna (Scherbring) Fischer . He married Sharon Hildebrand on May 31, 1965 in Earlville. Survivors include his wife, Sharon, his 2 nieces Judy (Tom) Kramer of Freeport, IL and Barbara (DuWayne) Grutt of Marquette, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents in law, brother Arnold (Anita) Fischer, sister in law Immogene (Chris) McCallum.
