GARNAVILLO, IOWA

Francis Michael Stroschein, 94, passed away to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Aurora House. Mr. Stroschein was born October 10, 1928, to Henry and Lucy Stroschein in Garber, IA.

Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Garnavillo, Iowa. Funeral Mass will commence at 11 a.m. with inurnment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Garnavillo, Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife & mother of his children, Loretta Lorraine Stroschein; one daughter, Kathleen Stroschein Kelly; three brothers: Cyrenus Stroschein, Lawrence Stroschein, August Stroschein; and two sisters, Odelia Matt, and Anita Johnson.

Mr. Stroschein is survived by his wife, Amy Erlene Stroschein, of Weslaco, TX; five children: Teresa Roach (Edward), of Bristol, WI, Pamela Stroschein Ledford (Marvin), of Marshalltown, IA, Thomas Michael Stroschein of Lake Jackson, TX, James Alan Stroschein (Dawn), of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Valerie Lanciault (Robert), of Fredericksburg, VA. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & one great-great granddaughter. Private cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX.
