Frank Barry

Frank Barry, age 90, of Millville, IA, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1923 in Turkey River IA, the son of Frank Michael and Edith (Miller) Barry. Frank graduated from the Guttenberg High School. After school, Frank spent much of life farming but did manage to teach school for a bit. On October 19, 1948, Frank was united in marriage with Anna Mae Bird at the Immaculate Conception Parsonage in North Buena Vista IA. Frank was a gifted accordion player and enjoyed playing music for various events throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Mae; one brother, Merlin (Eunice) Barry of Colesburg and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation: Friday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.
