Gary Hansel

Services will be at a later date.Gary (Buck) Hansel, age 71, of Garnavillo, IA, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a short illness. He was born on July 11, 1941 in Elkport to Merlin and Luva (Kulper) Hansel. Gary received his education from the country school and then went to work for farmers in the area. Gary then worked for the Coop in Elkader for 29 years. After he retired from the Coop he drove L.P. Truck for Stade Propane in Garnavillo. Gary always came off as a gruff person but anyone who really knew him knew he was really a soft hearted person. Gary leaves behind him 11 siblings; Veronica (Fred) Jenkins, Royce (Janan) Hansel, Lee (Deb) Clefisch, Vern Clefisch, Sandy (Bill) Raudbaugh, Susan (Steve) Whitesell, Martha (Terry) McDanel, Herbert Clefisch, Steve Clefisch, Ruth (Kent) Gaudain, and Donna (Dan) Schoulte. Buck was preceded in death by his father Merlin Hansel, mother, Luva Clefisch, step father LaVern Clefisch and niece Tina Klink. Service Information A service summary is not available
