Gerald Pierce

Gerald "Jerry" D. Pierce, 62, of Guttenberg died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque. Family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Guttenberg. There will be no funeral service. Jerry was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Dubuque to Hiram and Gladys (Whitlock) Pierce, the youngest of 13 children. He attended Guttenberg Community School. Jerry drove semi and did construction work. He enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR, family and friends. He is survived by a daughter, Emily Pierce, and her children, Lucy and Tristan of Greeley; three sons, Chuck (Rhea) and their children, Maya and Aidan of Dyersville, Gerald of Guttenberg and Levi of Peoria, Ill.; his significant other, Kathy Meskimen of Guttenberg; brothers and sisters, Harry Richard (Sandy) of Millville, Tom (Dorothy) of Mt. Dora, Fla., Vera (Darwin Goeschel) Finzel of Greeley, Donna (Mike) Loetz of Colesburg, Jean (Ed) Wall of Epworth, Jane (Dale) Sweet of Giard and Rita Bailey of Greeley; his first wife, Judy Reyes of Marion, Ind., and his second wife, Barbara Colvin of Prairie du Chien, Wis.Memorials may be sent in care of Security State Bank, GuttenbergVisitation: 11 AM, to 2 PM Saturday October 30, 2010 at Tuecke-Allyn, Guttenberg Service Information A service summary is not available
