Gerelda Gull

Gerelda "Jerry" Mae Gull was born the daughter of Waldamor and Caroline (Chettinger) Keehner on November 27, 1919 in Elk Township, Clayton County, near Wood Center IA. She passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Mrs. Gull was a graduate of the Guttenberg Public School in 1937 and after graduating, she taught elementary school near Osterdock and Ceres, Iowa. On June 19, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ralph R. Gull of Colesburg and farmed in the Colesburg area until November of 1970 when they moved to Colesburg. Ralph died May 12, 1984. Gerelda was a member of the Colesburg United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Womens Society & adult Sunday School class. She is survived by her two daughters, Judith (Merlin) Moser of Colesburg s and Carolyn (James) Ernst of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; Todd (Lynn) Moser of Colesburg, Michael (Erika) Ernst of Iowa City and Kristin Ernst of Chandler AZ; six great grandchildren, Kendra, Kirk and Kohl Moser of Colesburg and Jackson, Grant, and Claire Ernst of Iowa City; one brother, Warren (Alo) Keehner and one sister, Jean King; sisters-in-law Irene Keehner and Sharon Keehner She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; parents; one sister Jesse Clefisch; three brothers, George, Lloyd and Howard Keehner.Visitation: Sunday 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
