Gisela Baia Mescher

DYERSVILLE, IOWA Gisela E. Oberle Baia Mescher, 81, of Dyersville, Iowa died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Crestridge Care Center, Maquoketa, Iowa. Friends and relatives may gather beginning at Noon Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, IA. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at St. Francis Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Blake will officiate. Gisela was born on March 15, 1931, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany the daughter of George and Lydia "Olga" (Metzger) Oberle. She married Lewis N. Baia on September 18, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1980. She later married Louis A. Mescher on June 15, 2001, and he preceded her in death in 2007. She was a volunteer at Rolling Meadows Hospital in Chicago, IL and a lifetime member of it's auxiliary. Gisela enjoyed spending time with her dog, Misty Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Lewis Baia, second husband, Louis Mescher, son, Patrick H. Baia and sister, Lydia P. (Werner) Maletzki.
