Gladys J. Gaul, 67 of Dyersville, Iowa died Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016, St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Luxemburg. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate and Rev. Richard Gaul will concelebrate. Gladys was born March 16, 1949 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Albert and Mary (Miller) Hildebrand. She volunteered at Oakcrest in Dyersville. She worked many years as a caregiver privately and at Hills & Dales. She enjoyed parties, playing cards, and especially time with family and friends. She always looked forward to her grandkids visits. Gladys was very proud of her children. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include her children: Margie (Ricky) Schumann, Patsy Schueller both of Dyersville, Donna (Joel) Laaker of Dubuque, Roger (Ashley) Gaul of Peosta, 9 grandchildren: Kevin and Trevor Schumann, Stuart, Carter, Carson, and Kaylee Schueller, Isla and Cullen Laaker, Eliana Gaul, Siblings: Mary (Glen) Milligan of Dubuque, Cathy (Roger) Bartels of Durango, Verna (Vesse) Klostermann of Edgewood, Carol (David) Gaul of Guttenberg, Tom (Elaine) Hildebrand of Dubuque, Norma (Dick) Kelchen of Farley, Joyce Hildebrand of Dubuque, Steve Hildebrand of Dyersville, Rick (Donna) Hildebrand of North Carolina, Al (Kelly) Hildebrand of Dixon, IL, In-laws: Paul (Joyce) Wagner of Dubuque, Helen Hildebrand of Holy Cross, Phyllis Hildebrand of Dyersville, Elaine (David) Shaw of Springville, and Helen Hildebrand of Bankston, She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children, Peter and Tony Gaul in infancy, Sister Ruth Wagner, Brothers: Bob, Jerry, Lenny, and Loras Hildebrand.
