Gladys Moser

Gladys Marie (Berns) Moser, age 59 of Guttenberg, IA died Saturday May 17, 2014, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on October 25, 1954, in Garnavillo, IA, the daughter of Kenny and Shirley (Harbaugh) Berns. Gladys worked for the Guttenberg Care Center for many years after school. She met her husband Bruce at the age of 17 and was united in marriage on March 17, 1973. This union blessed them with three daughters. Gladys enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, word searches, entertaining at her house, sightseeing, boat rides and mostly just spending time with her family and friends. Her pride and joy were all of her grandchildren. She had many sayings that will never be forgotten by all. You will always be loved and remembered by all of us "The General". Gladys will be forever loved and cherished by her husband of 41 years, Bruce; three daughters, Heidi (Rod) Bolsinger, Dusty (Chad) Freeman, Samantha (Chris Weber) Moser; grandchildren, Brittany (special friend DJ Anderegg) Bolsinger, Hunter, Kylie and Bailey Bolsinger, Cassie (special friend Brandon Bolsinger) Moser, Callie & Chloe Freeman, Deserai, Danielle, Corey Weber and Kiya Moser-Weber and soon to be great grandson Kash Bolsinger; siblings, Sheila (Billie) Smith of Guttenberg, Kenneth (Wilma) Berns of Missouri, Sue (Ed) Troester, Patty (Ronald) Judkins both of Guttenberg, Mary (Gene) Fabert of Missouri, Kathy Berns of Guttenberg, Willie (Terry) Berns of Washington, Timmy Berns of Missouri, Carroll Berns of Guttenberg and Todd (Amanda) Berns of Postville and many other relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Shirley Berns, mother and father in law, Clyde (Fern) Moser, brother Terry Berns, sisters, Gloria Nelson and Debbie Berns.Visitation: Thursday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.
