DYERSVILLE, IOWA Gregory “Fuzz” L. Gioimo, 64, of Dyersville died Friday, December 16, 2016, at Finley Hospital, Dubuque. Visitation will be held 2 - 8 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 2 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 9 – 10 am at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016, St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jeffrey Dole will officiate. Fuzz was born July 4, 1952, in Manchester, Iowa the son of Charles and Lucy (Luensmann) Gioimo. He married Kay White on March 31, 1978 in Colesburg, Iowa. He was a lifelong Bears, Yankees and Hawkeye fan who loved to watch old westerns. He had a 46 year career with the natural gas pipeline industry and was known for his devotion to his job and co-workers. He cherished the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Kay, children: Lisa Gioimo of Columbia, MO, Dan (Stephanie) Gioimo of Walford, Nathan Gioimo and Sarah (Ben) Goldsmith, both of Dyersville, Brett (Ashlee Shill) Gioimo of Walford; 5 grandchildren: Blake and Mason Gioimo, Carson Gioimo, Beckett and Britton Goldsmith; siblings: Suzzanne and Suzzette Gioimo and Jeff Gioimo, all of Dyersville; and in-laws: Bill White of Dyersville, Ron (Linda) Benke of Cascade, Connie (LaVern) Neumann of Spring Green, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Aelred and Willetta (Eike) White and a sister-in-law, Jeanine Benke. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.kramerfuneral.com.
