Helen Marie Esmann

Helen Marie Esmann was born the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Pickel) Nivarel, May 20, 1921, in Potosi, Wisconsin. She died Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Guttenberg Care Center. Helen received her education in Glen Haven, Wisconsin and farmed with her family for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, fishing, cards and taught Sunday school for many years. On January 5, 1938, she was united in marriage with Arthur W. Esmann at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. Survivors include her husband, Arthur, three daughters, Violet (Charles) Zittergruen of Guttenberg, Helen (Loren) Duwe of Garnavillo, and Mary (Randy) Schromen of Dubuque, one son, Carl (Adrienna) Esmann of Tiffin, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Alice Heitman, and one son, Arthur Robert in infancy.
