Services for Helen will be Private.Helen Maxine Seeman, age 93, of Guttenberg, IA, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was born on the family farm near Millville to Will and Loretta (Troester) Geick. Helen earned her education from the Guttenberg School, worked various jobs in her early years. She spent several years working for Muters Co Original Enders Co. and then Utah Speaker Co. On November 30, 1938, Helen was united with Eldon Seeman at St. Johns Church in Guttenberg. This union blessed them with a daughter. Helen was a member of the Pinnacle Club and the St. Johns Sewing Ladies. She spent quite a bit of time working on her yard, garden and flowers around her home. Helen did much sewing and quilting to which many of her grandchildren have a specific quilt made for just them. Her time with her family was very precious to her and she enjoyed every minute of it. Helen is survived by her daughter, Sandy Pierce; four grandchildren, Christine (Dave) Garlow of Holy Cross, Curt Pierce, Paul (Betty) Pierce, and Doug (Julie) Pierce all of Guttenberg; eleven great grandchildren, Chad Julson, Nick, Andrew, Sean, Jacob, Austin, Heather, Lindsey and Loretta Pierce, Amber, Ashley Garlow; three great great grandchildren, Sean, Cory and Courtney Julson; one brother Henry (Betty) Geick and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eldon; sister, Fern Moser and son in law Harry "Dick" Pierce. Service Information A service summary is not available
