Herbert Fessler

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, 2 sisters: Rita Bremer of Solon, IA, and Joan Lasche of Earlville, IA, father-in-law, Cecil Torrey, brother-in-law, Keith Torrey, both of Guttenberg, IA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Catherine Reittinger, mother-in-law, Arlene Torrey and a brother-in-law, Bob Bremer. Herbert was born on March 14, 1938 in Worthington, Iowa, the son of John Jr. and Rose (Roling) Fessler. He married Barbara J. Torrey on April 28, 1962 in Dyersville, Iowa. Herbert worked at Modernfold for 40 years until retiring in 2000. In his spare time he enjoyed crafting & woodworking. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1734. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish rosary will be held at 4 p.m.
