Herbert M Philbrook

Herbert M. Philbrook was born the son of Herbert and Ethel (Smith) Philbrook on August 21, 1917, in Chicago IL. He passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Herbert graduated high school and then entered the Untied States Army serving his country during WWII. On September 20, 1958 he was united in marriage with Mildred Moser in Belvedere IL. Herbert worked many years in education equipment sales. In his free time Herbert enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, playing bridge and chess, fishing, reading and his greatest passion was being a musician. Herbert will be remembered by his wife Mildred; two daughters, Marcia (Gene) Hubbard of Springfield, Mo. and Vicki (Friend Mike) Smith of Rockford, Ill.; three sons, Drake Philbrook of Las Vegas, Nev., Richard (Jennifer) Philbrook of Oregon, Wis. and Alan (Kim) Philbrook of Rockford, Ill.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Polly Lewis and Bonnie Stivers. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Nicole.Graveside Service: Tuesday 10:00 A.M.
