Hubert E. Schweikert

Hubert E. "Tuffy" Schweikert, age 97, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Guttenberg Care Center. He was born the son of James and Harriet (Hyde) Schweikert, July 23, 1915, in Osterdock. Tuffy graduated from the Guttenberg High School and was in car sales for 70 years, selling cars and going to auction was his passion. He served his country during World War II in the United Sates Navy. Tuffy was united in marriage with Lorraine Dwark in 1937. He is survived by two daughters, Julie (Paul) Saeugling of Dubuque and Mary Sue Weyant of Dyersville; seven grandchildren, Anne (Mike) Coke, David (Lori) Saeugling, James Saeugling, Diane (Chris) LaPier, Rose (Cris) Bakey, Patty Weyant, and Scott (Michelle) Weyant; eleven great-granchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harriet and James and wife, Lorraine; one son, Tom; one brother, Ted; two sisters, Juanita Kann and Eunice Jaquette; and close friend, Dorothy Friedlein.Visitation: 10 AM - Noon Saturday January 26, 2013 at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home Guttenberg, IowaGraveside Service: Noon Saturday , at Mt.
