Irene Korslin

Irene M. Mescher Korslin, 96, of Roseville, MN, and formerly of New Vienna, Iowa died peacefully Friday, November 6, 2009, at Eagle Crest, Roseville, MN. Friends may call at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna, Iowa where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Irene was born on September 15, 1913, in New Vienna, Iowa, the daughter of Hugo and Adelied (Kluesner) Ahlers. She married Herbert F. Mescher who preceded her in death in 1974. Irene later married Clarence Korslin who also preceded her in death in 1988. Survivors include her daughter, Anita (John) Speltz of Roseville, MN, 4 grandchildren: Meg (Paul) Kelley, Bob (Rita) Speltz, Collette (Jerry) Szitta, and Tom Speltz; 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands and siblings: LaVerne "Buddy" Ahlers and Florence (Walter) Anglin. Memorials are preferred.
