James Edward Leliefeld

James Edward Leliefeld, age 61, of Guttenberg, IA, died Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was born on September 22, 1956 in Guttenberg, the son of Bernard and Bernita Leliefeld. James received his education from the Guttenberg School where he graduated with the class of 1974. After graduation James served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. James spent almost 30 years working for Fred Carlson Company and most recently worked for Lansing Brothers Construction and Peter Kann. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoyed golfing. James will be forever remembered by his siblings, Dennis (Nel) Leliefeld, Kathy Phelan, Kevin (Beth) Leliefeld, Terry (Mara) Leliefeld & Larry (Rona) Leliefeld; brother-in-law, Bruce Obershaw and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LuAnn Obershaw and brother-in-law, Denny Phelan.
