James Frericks

Survivors include 2 children: Jason Helle and Jodi (friend Clint Wheatley), both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his mother, Velma Frericks of Dyersville, 2 brothers: Steve (Val) of Hopkinton and Kevin (Patty) of Dyersville, 2 sisters: Patty (Mark) Leuchs of Dyersville and Amy (Brian) Leigh of Maple Park, IL, nieces and nephews: T.J. and Jeff Frericks, both of Parker, Colo. and Tracy and Toby Frericks, both of Dyersville, Iowa, Keenan Frericks of Hopkinton, many aunts and uncles and his close canine pal, Wimpy. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer and a brother Tom. Jim was born on February 9, 1955 in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Velma (Sabers) Frericks. He was very dedicated to his work at Springfield Refrigeration in Springfield. Watching Rusty Wallace race on Sunday afternoons was a must. Jim followed his dad in woodworking and took pride in the many things he made. Jim and his faithful companion, Wimpy were together always - whether at home or driving back to Iowa. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
