James D. Garrett 90 of Monticello, Iowa passed away on Thursday evening at the Jones Medical Center in Anamosa after a long illness. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. from the Berean Bible Church in Monticello. Paster Mike Martin will officiate the service. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City. Memorial may be directed to the Berean Bible Church in his memory. James was born on September 9, 1913 in Decator Arkansas the son of Benjamin & Susan Lewis Garrett. He married Mary Davis on July 25, 1942 in Waynesville MO. He servered his country during WW II in the Army. He farmed in Kansas and later in life in Iowa. He was a member of the Berean Bible Church in Monticello. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife Mary of Monticello and three daughters Mary Jeane (David) Whiting, Janet (Jerry) Fuller and Karen(Dick) Pflughaupt all of Central City. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son James and several brothers and sisters. Kramer Funeral Home of Monticello is handling the arrangements..
