Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, 3 sons: Tom (Nancy) and Scott (Deb), both of Dyersville and Robert ?Budda? (Rose Putz) of Delhi, IA; 1 daughter, Karen (Bob) Faber of Ankeny, IA; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Myron (Betty) of Dyersville and a sister, Mary Eileen (John) Murphy of Cedar Rapids, IA. Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Robert. Jim was born December 6, 1927, in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Albert ?Flick? and Marie (Berndsen) Hittenmiller. He graduated from Xavier High School in the Class of 1946. On June 14, 1949 he married Dorothy Bierl at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Jim was the co-owner of the Gambles store in downtown Dyersville. Later he owned and operated Furnitureland in the same location for many years. His sons, Tom and Scott, operate the business today.
