James Tuecke

James Louis Tuecke was born the son of Orville and Christine (Thiese) Tuecke, September 8, 1940, in Dubuque and was baptized on October 22, 1940. He died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Jim graduated from the Garnavillo High School in 1958, farmed, and was a self-employed truck driver for many years. On September 15, 1962, he was united in marriage with Bonnie Lee at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. Jim enjoyed mushroom hunting, cutting wood, driving tractor and his semi, visiting with family and friends and especially spending time his grandchildren. Also Jim enjoyed all the conversations he had with his trucking colleagues. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Sara (Brian) Lawrence of Garnavillo; one son, Joe (Liz) Tuecke of Elkader; one sister, Carole Tuecke of Titonka; grandchildren, Cora Lawrence, Colton Lawrence and Baby Lawrence on the way, Anna Tuecke, Levi Tuecke, and Luke Tuecke; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
