DYERSVILLE, IOWA Jeannine Y. (Heinrichs) Kennedy, 86, of Dyersville, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will continue 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Jeannine was born April 12, 1929 in Sanford, Maine the daughter of Ulrich and Odille (Cyr) LaRochelle. She grew up in a French speaking household and learned English when she started school, but through the years she and her family continued to speak French when together. Jeannine married Donald Heinrichs on February 14, 1953 in Amesbury, MA. After Don was discharged from the United States Navy they moved to Dyersville where they raised 6 children during their 30 year marriage. They divorced in 1983. Jeannine married Orville Kennedy on May 24, 1991 and they were married 15 years until Orville’s death in 2006. Jeannine was a loving mother that always had time for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was also an accomplished artist leaving many works of art for her family to cherish. Survivors include her children: Patricia (Charles) Goedken of Dyersville, Donna (Steve) Ament of Papillion, NE, Diane (Ray) Tekippe of Earlville, Dan (Deb) Heinrichs of Dyersville, Carrie (Jim) Doman of Lakeland, CO, Doug (Julie) Heinrichs of Dyersville, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, 1 brother, and a sister in law, Mary Ann Heinrichs of Dyersville She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and one sister.
