Jeneen Barnhart

Jeneen Kay (Jost) Barnhart, age 63, of Guttenberg, IA, died Thursday, February 25, 2010, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born the daughter of Raymond and Pearl (Tackman) Jost on April 28, 1946 in rural Garnavillo, Iowa. After graduating high school, Jeneen worked in production of electronics for various corporations in Guttenberg over many years. On May 4, 1968, she was united in marriage with Carson Barnhart at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. In her younger years, Jeneen was a very gifted musician. She would play the accordion, brass and the piano. Jeneen never knew how to read sheet music but she could sit down at the piano and play by ear. Her later years were filled with garage sale shopping. Anyone in the Guttenberg area who put on a garage sale knew who Jeneen was. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Pearl Jost and many great friends.
