Jerald R Berns

Jerald R. Berns, was born the son of Arthur and Evelyn (Zapf) Berns, Hildebrand, Lynch, March 30, 1927, in Garnavillo. He died Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Jerald attended St Josephs Catholic School and farmed for many years. He enjoyed playing cards; gardening; fishing; and collecting things. He is survived by his two brothers, Robert (Angeline) Berns and Joseph Hildebrand both of Garnavillo; three nieces, Teresa Graham of Randolph Mn., Mary Drahn of Farmersburg, and Kim (Mike) Alexander of Clermont; four nephews, Dennis (Tina) Nieland of Tama, Donnie Nieland of Monona, Dean (Sherry) Nieland of McGregor, and David (Felicia) Nieland of Cedar Falls; 24 great nieces and nephews; four great great nieces and nephews.
