Surviving are 3 daughters: Michelle (Dan) Petras of Maple Grove, MN, Lori (Ken) Pisarek of Milwaukee, WI, Jodi (Rich) Dingle of Cedarburg, WI; 1 son, William (Heidi) Leigh of Forest Lake, MN; grandchildren: Chelsea, Daniel and Hayley Petras, Alex, Preston and Morgan Leigh, Presley Pisarek, Ryan, Sean and Kyle Dingle; his mother, Clara Leigh of Dyersville, IA; siblings: Merle (Denise) Leigh of Osage Beach, MO, Bob (Grace) Leigh of Dyersville, Jim (Sharon) Leigh of Milford, IA, Carol (Jim) Harrod of Adamsville, TN, and Janet Orr of Dyersville, IA; significant other: Sharon Raines of Savannah, TN and step sons: Joseph and Jeffrey. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry, one brother, Tom and a nephew, Daniel Leigh. Jerry was born on Oct. 31,1946, in Dyersville, Iowa, the son of Harry H. and Clara M. (Oberbroeckling) Leigh. He was a lifelong welder, working with his brothers until retirement. He spent his retirement years fishing and boating on the Tenessee River. Jerry was an active member of both the Elk and Moose Lodges wherever he resided. Jerry A. Leigh, 62, of Savannah, TN and formerly of Dyersville, Iowa died Friday, January 23, 2009, at Jackson Madison Hospital, Jackson, TN after a brief bout with cancer. Friends may call from 1 - 4 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Officiating will be Deacon Jerry Jorgensen.
