Jerome Raymond White

MONTICELLO, IOWA Jerome R. “Jerry” White, 74 of Monticello, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 11, 2021 after spending the weekend with his family at the cabin. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, Iowa where a Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Baldwin will officiate. Jerry was born October 31, 1946 in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Cyril and Marion (Gadient) White. He married Maria Schutz on May 23, 1970 in River Forest, IL. Together they raised their family in the Monticello area being married just shy of 50 years. Jerry spent his working career as an independent insurance agent. He enjoyed spending days at the cabin, fishing, and working with his horses and birds. He was very proud to be a charter member of the Monticello Eagles Club. Jerry is survived by 3 children: Anthony (Stacy) and Andrew (Anna) White of Monticello, and Angela (James Albrecht) White of Cedar Rapids, grandson, Joshua White, step grandchildren: Sabrynn Dague and Hannah Albrecht, brother, Joseph White of Minneapolis, MN, a brother-in-law, Joseph Schutz of Woodstock, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maria in 2020, siblings: John White, Judy White, a sister-in-law, Rosemary Schutz.
