Joan M White

Obituary Joan Margaret White, age 80, of Guttenberg, IA, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1939 to Daniel and Rose (Klein) Leliefeld. Joan graduated from St. Marys High School and later served her country in the United States Air Force in the late 50s. On September 25, 1965, she was united in marriage with Keith White at St. Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg and the couple was later blessed with 4 children. Joan made a home for her husband and children and for many years provided child care for many children in the Guttenberg area. Joan will be forever loved and cherished by her children; Jeff (Donna) White, Steve (JoEllen) White, Brian (Traci) White & Tonya (Todd) Pierce; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two siblings, Lois Goerdt, Bill (Rita) Leliefeld and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith White in 1988; brothers and sisters, Norman (Lois) Leliefeld, Dorothy (Orvin) Knudtson, Bernard (Bernita) Leliefeld, Vera (Cliff) Mirocko, Opal (Robert) Goerdt, Mary (Manford) Sherriff, Kathleen Leliefeld, Pat (Glenn) Bolsinger, Betty, Leliefeld, Carol Rose Leliefeld, Gary (Corinne) Leliefeld, Katie (Harry) Ben; brother-in-law, Richard Goerdt, and four nieces and nephews.
