Joe William Wirkler

Joe William Wirkler was born December 15, 1958, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the son of Vern and Jeanne (Kregel) Wirkler. He passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Guttenberg. Joe was a 1977, graduate of Garnavillo High School. He farmed for many years with his brothers near Garnavillo. Joe was also a salesman for Central Boiler and enjoyed working with all those he met. Joe was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and auto racing. He also enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Joe was united in marriage with Beverly Spiker on November 22, 1980 in Clayton. This marriage was blessed with three Children; Kristy, Ryan and Tanner. Joe is survived by his wife, Beverly Wirkler, Garnavillo; daughter Kristy Wirkler, Waukon; son Tanner Wirkler, Garnavillo; mother Jeanne Wirkler, Guttenberg; brothers, David Wirkler, Elkader, Robert (Nancy) Wirkler, Waukon, John (Sherry) Wirkler, Lancaster Wis and Don (Cheryl) Wirkler, Garnavillo and many other relatives and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his son Ryan Wirkler; step son Matthew Spiker; father Vern Wirkler; two brothers, Richard and Paul Wirkler.Visitation: Tuesday 4:00 - 8:00 P.M.
