John Campbell

John Campbell is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughter, Jo (Tony) Amsler of Monticello, son, Robert (Kathy) Campbell of Wenatchee, WA, 5 grandchildren: Clay and Kate Amsler and John, Liza and Kaela Campbell, sister, Norma Howorth of Kansas, sisters-in-law, Lou Campbell, Lois Laschansky, Ruth Hainstock, and numerous nieces and nephews. John Campbell was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dale Campbell. John W. Campbell was born on February 8, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Frank and Otha (Alleman) Campbell. He served in the US Army from 1945-47. John then was an Iowa Highway Patrol Officer for 6 years. In 1952 he married Phyllis Hainstock in Delmar, Iowa. They farmed at Clarence and Monticello, Iowa for 25 years. John then worked for 7 years as a District Manager for McCurdy Seed Company. John loved traveling and wintering in Texas and having coffee with the boys.
