John Cook

John L. Cook, 30, of Holy Cross, Iowa died Sunday, April 5, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Buena Vista, Iowa. Rev. Marvin Bries will officiate. John was born January 18, 1985 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Louis and Jackie (Ehlers) Cook. He attended Western Dubuque H.S. John enjoyed fishing, setting off fireworks, but most of all, spending time with his daughter, Lilly. John loved to live and lived to love. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include his parents, Louis Cook of Holy Cross and Jackie Cook of Dubuque, daughter, Lilly Cook, siblings: Louis (Angela) Cook of Guttenberg, Beth (Alex Engling fiancé) Cook of Dubuque, mother of his daughter, Jolene Lehman of Holy Cross, and maternal grandparents: John & Joan Ehlers of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Louis and Alice Cook.
