John Jackson

John Robert Jackson was born the son of Meryl and June (Silvest) Jackson Feb. 19, 1956, in Eldora, Iowa. He died Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at Glen Haven Township, Wisconsin. John graduated from Oelwein High School in 1974, and was employed by John Deere Waterloo Works for 28 years. He was a member of UAW and Vice President of Esmann Island Association. John enjoyed boating, fishing, Harley riding, and spending time with family and friends. On September 17, 1994, John was united in marriage with Mary Powers, at St Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg. He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Libby Jackson of Center Point; one son, Thomas John "TJ" Jackson of Cedar Rapids; his parents, Meryl and June Jackson, of Oelwein; one sister, Jeanne (Paul) Otten of Maple Grove, Minnesota; two brothers, Jeffery Jackson of Oberlin, Kansas, and James (June) Jackson of Lakeville, Minnesota and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Joshua Jackson.
