John Kenneth Wilson was born the son of Walter "Harry" and Frances (Ferguson) Wilson, on December 16, 1938, in Port Arthur, Canada. He passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007, at the Guttenberg Care Center. After Johns schooling he spent many years working for Roverud Construction Inc in Elkader. He held the position of being a foreman for the company. On July 11, 1961, he married Barbara Palmer on the farm near Garnavillo. To this union they were blessed with five children. John enjoyed playing guitar and fixing things, as he was mechanically inclined. John put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christs finished work on cavalry for salvation on January 29, 1952. He lived his life proving that he belonged to the Lord Jesus Christ and looked for that day when he would be with him forever. Johns memory will be cherished by his wife Barbara; one daughter, Rebecca Wilson of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sons, James (Karen) Wilson of Garnavillo, Timothy (Beth) Wilson and Andrew (Ruth) Wilson both of Phoenix, Ariz. And Paul (Sarah) Wilson of Garnavillo; twelve grandchildren, Rachel, Joshua, Ashley, Heather, Max, Mathonwyn, Owen, Tirion, Tristan, Dakota, Cheyenne, and Brea; three sisters, Rosemary (Bill) Yocum, Susan (Miles) Frank and Margaret (Paul) Capon of all of Thunder Bay, Ontario; four brothers, David (Carol) Wilson and Mark (Marilyn) Wilson both of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Robert (Helen) Wilson and Charles (Margie) Wilson both of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
