John R. Kann

John Raymond Kann, 50, of Guttenberg, died of cancer at 6:30 pm Thursday, May 14, 2009 surrounded by his family. John was born October 17, 1958 in Guttenberg, Iowa son of Frederick W. and Rosemary G. (Wachendorf) Kann. He graduated from Guttenberg High School. John was a farmer and proud of it. He worked side by side with his family in farming all his life. Farming was his livelihood, his enjoyment, his hobby. He was always there to lend a helping hand or whatever he could do. He would never pass up spending time with his nieces and nephews especially Joe, Luke, Hayley and Molly. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Surviving are his fiance Kathy Judkins, his father, Fred W., six brothers, Fred, Dick (Rosie), Greg (Lori), Bill, Gary, Brian (Melissa), five sisters, Pat (Jerry) Kolker, Dianne (Fred) Walke, Mary (Rick) Eulberg, Jane Parker (Joe Vorwald), Nancy (Clay) Nuerhing. 54 Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary G.
