Judith Ann Woods, 88, of West Union, formerly of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Stoneybrook Assisted Living Center, West Union.



Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to funeral services.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate.



Judy was born April 22, 1934 in Clermont, Iowa the daughter of Carmen and Beryl (Miller) Swenson. She married Leo F. Woods on September 14, 1952 in Clermont, Iowa where they raised their family. In 1976 they moved to Dyersville to begin a new chapter in their lives. Together they loved entertaining guests in their home. Judy enjoyed her career in banking at Fidelity. She coordinated the Five Star Club and led trips to over twenty different countries. Judy and Leo enjoyed searching out and collecting antiques. Judy was active in St. Francis parish and her prayer group was near to her heart.



Survivors include her children: Michael Woods & Katie Pague of Berthoud, CO, and Stephen Woods & Carol Katsumes of Elgin, IA; precious grandchildren: Jonathon & Nadine Woods of Johnston, IA, Stephen & Melodee Woods of Hawkeye, IA, Kara & Bud Johnson of Elgin and Danny & Aleisha Woods, of West Union, IA, and Emily & Steven Beard of San Tan Valley, AZ; great grandchildren include Conner, Duncan, & Megan, Brody, Ali, Kade, Megan, Addison, Mia, Kole, Jackson and Liam with his service dog Sarge, Brielle and Esaias; sister, Mary Kay & Robert Marvin of Janesville, IA, sister-in-law: Carolyn Woods of Oelwein and niece and nephew, Elizabeth Ball and John Marvin.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 2017, son, David Woods in 2002, her parents, Carmen and Beryl, parents-in-law, John and Sadie (Burke) Woods, brother, William “Billy” Swenson, in-laws: Donald & Jean Woods, Paul & Carolee Woods, Margaret & Thomas Henry, Sheldon & Betty Fox, Jim & Pat Woods, Thomas Woods, and her nephew, Jeffery Marvin.
