Kathryn Lange

Kathryn Margaret (Kregel) Lange was born the daughter of Arthur and Caroline (Wirkler) Kregel on January 1, 1917, in rural Garnavillo. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 20, 2007, at the Central Community Hospital in Elkader. Kathryn graduated high school locally and attended one year of junior college in Elkader. She was a homemaker for many years but also helped her husband on the farm. Kathryn was united in marriage with Ray Lange on June 2, 1937 and to this union they welcomed one son into their world. Kathryn spent time in her youth working with 4-H and she received and trusted Christ as her savior on April 3, 1938. She loved gardening, working with her flowers and baking. Kathryn will be forever remembered by her son, Lorne Lange of Garnavillo; two grandchildren, Troy (Heide) Lange and Tracy Lange; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Austin Lange; two step great-grandchildren, Haiyla and Zander; one brother, Donald (Betty) Kregel of Garnavillo and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister, Verda Mae Guyer.Visitation: Thursday 4:00 - 8:00 P.M.
