Kathryn Meyer

DYERSVILLE, IOWA Kathryn M. Meyer, 74 of Dyersville passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9-10 am at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Kathy was born October 21, 1943, in Greeley, Iowa the daughter of Henry J. and Catherine (Drees) Billmeyer. She graduated from West Delaware High School and earned an Associate Degree at Bayless Business College in Dubuque. She married Kenneth Meyer on May 8, 1965, in Greely, Iowa. Kathy worked with Alliant Energy for many years. After retirement from Alliant she began working at Earlville and Worthington Catholic Schools, and then began volunteering at area Catholic Schools and church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Rose. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ken, 4 daughters: Kim (Mark) Wingert of Cedar Rapids, Kristi (Gene) Niemer of Manchester, Karmen (Randy) Jernigan of Marion, Katie (Larry) Sadler of Dyersville; 7 grandchildren: Noah and Sophia Niemer, Allyson, Emma and Claire Jernigan, Jacob and Evelyn Sadler; in-laws: Jim (Sheila) Meyer of Dyersville, Harry Steger of Edgewood, Betty McLane of Dyersville, Joyce (Ron) Drey of Dyersville, Janice (Ron) Alfred of Ames, Helen Meyer, Dorothy Meyer and Pat Meyer, all of Dyersville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, Leo and Loretta Meyer, siblings: John J. (Marie) Billmeyer and Loma (Irvin) Kerkenbush; in-laws: Don Meyer, Loras Meyer, Dick Meyer, Stan McLane, Mary Jane Steger, John & Anne Meyer in infancy.
