Kay Evelyn Holthaus

Kay Evelyn (Brown) Holthaus was born the daughter of Elmer and Laura (Nelson) Brown on July 3, 1937 near Colesburg. She passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Kay graduated high school and was a para professional for several years. On January 7, 1956 she was united in marriage with Eugene Holthaus at the Colesburg United Methodist Church. In her free time she enjoyed pontooning, fishing, crossword puzzles, collecting lighthouses and watching the river activity. Kay was also a member of the Eagles Club. Kay will be sadly missed by her husband Eugene; two daughters, Caprice (Elmer Jr.) Waldschmidt of Thornton Colorado, Shauna (Laine) Dennison of Lisbon; one son Bradley (Tammy) Holthaus of Thibodaux Louisiana; one sister Wanda Wagaman of Hiawatha; one sister in law Sandy Brown of Walford; five grandchildren, Matthew, Kadie, Kris, Devin, Dylan She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Roger BrownVisitation: 4:00-8:00 P.M.
