Keith Held

EARLVILLE, IOWA Keith F. Held, 76, of Earlville died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Keith was born May 9, 1936, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of John and Martha (Sparr) Held. He graduated from Hinton Public High School with the class of 1954. He joined and served the Army National Guard in the early 1950's. He married Patricia Moore on Dec. 3, 1966, in Sioux City. Keith and Patricia moved to Earlville in 1980, and he began working with Farmers Shipping Association in Dyersville, retiring this year. Surviving are his wife, Patricia of Earlville, 2 sons: Sean Held and Scott (Kathleen) Held, both of Dyersville, and a daughter: Alicia Held (fiancé Jason Waldmann) of Princeton, Iowa; 3 grandchildren: Adeline, Samuel and Violet Held; a brother-in-law: Bruce H. (Roberta) Moore of Rocky Mount, NC, and a nephew, David L. Held of Shawnee, OK.
