Kristine Ann Stocks

Obituary Kristine Ann Stocks, age 65, of Guttenberg, IA, died Monday, November 9, 2020. She was born on July 1, 1955 in Guttenberg, the daughter of Eldon "Mike" and Eunice Vorwald. Kris attended and graduated from the Guttenberg High School with the class of 1973. On May 19, 1979, Kris was united in marriage with Allyn Stocks at St. Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg and the couple raised two boys, Nicholas & Michael. Kris was a strong warrior in her fight with cancer over the years, but lost the final battle. To many, she was a genuine smile, a friendly word, and helping soul, always with a laugh from her great wit. To those who knew her well, she was just Kris--and that is her legacy. Kris is survived by her 2 sons, Nicholas (Cassie) Stocks and Michael Stocks; longtime companion Mike Hefel; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Nancy) Vorwald, Timothy (Cecelia) Vorwald, Todd (Joan) Vorwald, Ann Vorwald and many other relatives and friends.
