Laura J. Steffen, 45, of Dyersville, Iowa died Monday, August 12, 2013 at her home. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate. Laura was born October 25, 1967 in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Janice (Feltes) Besler. She married Steve Steffen on April 6, 1991 in Worthington, Iowa. Laura operated daycare out of her home for many years and truly loved taking care of children. She enjoyed camping, spending time with family & friends and playing cards. Survivors include her husband, Steve, one son, Nick at home, her parents, Louis and Janice Besler of Worthington, sisters: Sue (Brian) Aubrecht of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Lavern) Burkle of New Vienna, brother, James (Kati) Besler of Monticello, mother-in-law, Bernice Steffen Honkomp of Dyersville, sister and brothers-in-law: Wayne (Janice) Steffen of Luxemburg, Julie (Jeff) Wieneke of Dyersville, Terry (Sally) Steffen and Kenneth (Cindy) Steffen both of Luxemburg, Martin Steffen of Dyersville and many nieces and nephews.
