Laverna Mae Rutledge

LaVerna Mae Rutledge, age 97, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was born the daughter of the Henry and Mae (Wentworth) Meyers, December 15, 1917, near Millville. LaVerna received her education at Hunter Country School, Millville and was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed gardening and canning. On August 15, 1944, she was united in marriage with Loran Rutledge in Dubuque. Those left to cherish her memory, one daughter, Vicki (Brayer) Amble of La Crosse Wisconsin; one son, Larkin (Bernita) Rutledge of Guttenberg; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
