Lawrence E. White

Lawrence Eugene White, age 81, of Garber, IA, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. He was born the son of Nelson and Elsie (Minger) White on May 25, 1929 near Turkey River. Lawrence attended country schools and spent all his life in the logging industry. In his later years he ran a saw mill. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge on October 17, 1952. Lawrence became a Jehovah Witness in 1971 and enjoyed flea markets and trading. He is survived by his wife Mary Jane White of Garber; one sister, Florence Billmeyer of Elkport and many nieces, nephews and friends.Visitation: Friday 4:00 - 6:00 P.M.
