Leann Eischeid

Mary Leann Eischeid, age 71, of Clayton, IA, died Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was born on April 6, 1946 in New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Anna Connor. Leann graduated from Turkey Valley in 1964 and later received her bachelors degree. She taught elementary school at Turkey Valley for 39 years. On October 23, 1971, Leann was united in marriage with Michael Eischeid at St. Marys Church in New Hampton. While Leann taught school, she also helped her husband run the Clayton Lighthouse restaurant in Clayton, Iowa for over 30 years. Those left to cherish her memory is Leanns cousin John McEnaney and his children, Laura and Leanns Godson, John Leo McEnaney; nieces, Roxanne Garretson & Katy Zeltlinger; nephews, Mark (Carol) Eischeid, John Eischeid, Greg (Cynthia) Eischeid; the "Brandel grandchildren & great grandchildren"; longtime companion Tyler Brandel and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Michael in 2002.
