Leanna Viola "Lee" Gerloff was born the daughter of Fredrick and Alma (Maier) Gerloff, February 10, 1933, on the family farm near Garber. She died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Lee graduated from the Garnavillo High School and Summe Cum Laude from St. Josephs College at Windham, Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Heath Education and Sociology. She worked as a nurse in the Rochester Minnesota and Dubuque area, the last 35 years at Mercy Health Center. Lee enjoyed handwork, gardening, flowers, reading, her dogs, computers and music. Survivors include two sisters, Rosadale Gerloff of Cedar Rapids and Lafonda (William) Scherf Jr. of Farmersburg; two nieces, Beth Radloff and Lisa (Dan) Berns; one Nephew, William (Michelle) Scherf III; one aunt, Grace Maier of Elkport, three uncles, George Maier of Garber, Arthur Maier and Alvin Maier of Littleport.
