Lee Michael Smith

Lee Michael Smith, age 21, of Garnavillo, IA, died Friday, September 27, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born the son of Michael Smith and Sandy (Wall) Schaefers on April 13, 1992, in Prairie du Chien Wis. Lee attended the Clayton Ridge School where he graduated with the class of 2010. After school, Lee worked in construction most recently he was constructing pole buildings for High Performance Construction. Whenever he could, Lee enjoyed spending time with his friends, hunting, especially turkey and deer, watching basketball and football especially the Minnesota Vikings. Lee will forever live in hearts of many, especially his mother, Sandra (Andy) Schaefers; father, Michael Smith; five siblings, Cheryl Smith, Derek Smith; Taylor Schaefers, Nicole Schaefers and Emily Schaefers; grandparents, Maxine Wall, Gerry Smith and Pearl Schaefers; special friend, Rachel Lange and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bernard Wall, Willard Smith, Francis Schaefers and Lees aunt Sharon Wall.A memorial fund for Lee has been established at the Garnavillo Savings Bank or you can mail your memorials to P.O.
