Leeann Rice

Lee Ann (Pont) Rice, age 51, of Garnavillo, IA, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at her home after a sudden illness. She was born on August 28, 1962, in Cedar Falls IA, the daughter of David and Donna (Junk) Pont. LeeAnn grew up in the Cedar Falls area where she graduated from Central High School in Waterloo. She then pursued some courses in college following high school. LeeAnn worked various jobs but being a mother, grandmother and making her home was her main job in life. On December 2, 1995, she was united in marriage with John Rice. She loved to spend time in the kitchen. She loved to bake and make birthday cakes for our whole family. She loved her country music and had attended Country Fest in Cadott WI for the last 6 years. She was always there to babysit, comfort, assist and provide. Her memory lives on in our white butterfly. LeeAnn is survived by her husband John, three children, Angela (Aaron) Reed, Aaron (Lalaine) Thiese and Amber Thiese; two grandchildren, Kaleigh and Kaleb Reed; parents, Dave and Donna Pont; paternal grandmother, Helen Pont; brothers, Brian (Val) Pont, Marty (Brandi) Pont and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.Visitation: Monday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. June 30, 2014 at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home Guttenberg, Iowa and one hour before service at church.Funeral Service: Tuesday 10:00 A.M.
