Leola C. (Theisen) Petsche was born the daughter Joseph and Cecelia Theisen on November 1, 1924. She passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Leola graduated from the Holy Trinity High School, taught at the local country school and was a homemaker for many years. On August 16, 1944 she was united in marriage with Lawrence Petsche at the Holy Trinity Church in Luxemburg. Together Leola and Lawrence raised six children but she always made time to be active with St. Marys church and time for playing cards. Leola will be sadly missed by her two daughters; Lisa (Ted) Johnson of Colesburg, Sheila (Steve) Nemmers of Lakewood Colorado; four sons, Donald Petsche of Cedar Rapids, "Jerry" Jerome (Nola) Petsche of Hancock Minnesota, Robert (Betty) Petsche of Osterdock and Daryl (Cindy) Petsche of Monona; Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters in law; Lucille Theisen of Monona, Nettie Theisen of Dubuque, and Dorene Leo of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; four brothers, Lavern, Harry, Charles and Clarence Theisen; one sister Elma and one daughter Diane in Infancy.Visitation: 5:00-8:00 P.M.
